China visa passport photo
China uses its own 33×48 mm format — not the European 35×45. The head must be 28–33 mm high and 21–24 mm wide, on a pure white background. The online application upload accepts only a narrow pixel and file-size window, which the maker's 100 KB cap is designed for.
| Print size | 33 × 48 mm |
|---|---|
| Pixels at 300 DPI | 390 × 567 px |
| Background | Pure white |
| Head height (crown to chin) | 58–69% of the photo height |
| Notes | Head width 21–24 mm, head height 28–33 mm. Digital upload 354–472 px wide, 420–560 px high, under 100 KB. |

Compiled from the Chinese embassy / visa centre (CVASC) photo requirements. Rules change; confirm the current version on the official site before you submit. The maker crops and sizes only — it does not alter your background, so shoot against a plain wall that matches the required colour.
